Glamping With Fire Pit in NSW
Real wood fires, dark skies, and the kind of evening you have been imagining since Monday
Check AvailabilityThere is a specific kind of evening that only happens around a fire pit. The smoke catches your jumper. The first few minutes are all about getting the fire right. Then someone pulls out the marshmallows, and suddenly nobody is looking at their phone. That is the evening we set up for you at Unwind Escapes. Real wood fire pits — not gas, not decorative — in a valley dark enough to see the Milky Way. Ninety minutes from Sydney, surrounded by nothing but bush, redwoods, and plentiful wallabies and wildlife.

You finish the day — maybe a walk through the redwood grove, maybe just sitting on the deck doing absolutely nothing — and as the sun drops behind the mountains, you light the fire. The air cools. The sky darkens. And within about twenty minutes, you are looking at more stars than you have seen in years. No street lights, no city glow, no light pollution at all. Just you, the fire, and a sky that looks like someone turned the brightness up.
Three of our stays come with their own private fire pit included. The Nest's pit sits on the grass just outside the dome with seating for four under the festoon lights — perfect for bigger evenings around the flames. The Safari Tent's pit is right at the edge of the redwood grove, where you can hear the trees while the fire crackles. The Burrow's pit is on the oval, with a completely open view of the sky in every direction. All three: real wood, real fire, real quiet.
Fire pits are included with your stay. Our firewood kits — locally sourced hardwood and kindling from the property, plus matches and firestarters — are available from our online shop. Purchase in advance and we leave everything ready for your arrival. For the ultimate evening, grab one of our s'mores kits too.

What Our Guests Say
"This is a really lovely place to stay — especially for couples like us with a big dog. One of the highlights was setting up the firewood — it made the experience even more cozy and fun. If you're looking for a short escape and want to spend time surrounded by nature, this is a great choice."
"It was extremely relaxing, we built a fire, fed Ronnie the horse, had amazing views, perfect for a romantic weekend getaway."
"I had a wonderful couple of days in the dome just myself and my little dog. My absolute favourite part was having a fire pit to myself. The wood is extra, but well worth it and everything you need to get it going and keep it burning for a few hours was included."
