Safari Tent Glamping in NSW
Sliding glass doors, air conditioning, and your own fire pit in the redwood grove. This is what glamping was supposed to feel like.
Book the Safari TentMost safari tents give you canvas and call it a day. Ours has large sliding glass doors, floor-to-ceiling curtains, air conditioning that actually works, a couch, a TV, a coffee station, hanging space, and a full-length mirror. It is a proper room — it just happens to sit at the edge of a dawn redwood grove with its own private fire pit. Slide the doors open and you are looking straight into the forest. Close them and you are in a beautifully draped space that feels more boutique hotel than campsite. Ninety minutes from Sydney, in a valley most people have never heard of.
A Morning at the Safari Tent
Wake up, slide the glass doors open, step out onto the deck, past the fire pit, through the redwood grove and out onto the oval.
The Redwood Safari Tent
What Staying in the Safari Tent Is Actually Like
You slide open the glass doors and the first thing you see is the redwood grove — tall, quiet, and dappled with light. Inside, it does not feel like camping. The drapes, the couch, the air conditioning, the coffee station on the side — it feels like a boutique hotel room that someone decided to put in a forest. The bed is comfortable, there is proper hanging space for your clothes, a full-length mirror, and a TV for when the rain comes in. But the real draw is the orientation: the sliding doors frame the grove perfectly, so whether you are on the couch or in bed, you are looking straight into the trees.
The fire pit is what makes this stay different from most safari tent setups. It is private — not shared with other guests — and it sits right at your doorstep. In the evening, you light the fire and the world gets very simple very quickly. The grove blocks the wind, the canopy frames the sky, and the only sound is the crackle of the fire and whatever the bush is doing that night. In autumn, the dawn redwoods turn golden and amber, and the whole grove looks like something from another hemisphere.
